“Oh I love this girl,” Kyle exclaimed as he copied his vows from his phone to multiple sheets of paper. The process ended up taking longer than expected so a faithful groomsman helped as he put on his suit, tied his tie, and slipped on his lucky shoes.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the morning Lindsey visited The Willows Spa and Salon with her bridesmaids to get their hair done. In matching floral robes, they gathered about their friend. As Janis placed the veil with a floral hair comb courtesy of Two of a Kind Floral it all become very real. In a few short hours Lindsey would marry the love of her life.<\/p>\n

Lindsey’s preparations continued at Bridgeport Community Church where she had her makeup done and put on her dress. The dress she picked out with her mom weeks ago from a shop in Chicago. Finally, after all the waiting and preparing Kyle and Lindsey were ready to get a first look at each other.<\/p>\n

Even with all the planning and preparations that go into a wedding day , there can be small unexpected alterations that are needed. In this case that small obstacle was the mosquitoes in the woods. The first look went much faster than expected and pictures with the bridal party would need to wait until a different time and place.<\/p>\n

Then the ceremony. Opening with a song by John Mark McMcMillan followed by the vows ring exchange, and washing of feet. Here, the bride and groom take a cue from the story of Jesus washing his disciples feet as an act of humble service. To an outsider or one unfamiliar with this biblical story, it may look like a very odd thing to do at a wedding, but in light of the historical context of foot washing it is an amazing demonstration of mutual care for each other. A perfect example of what marriage is designed for. The ceremony closed with a kiss, pronouncement of husband and wife and they left to hoots, hollers, a confetti cannon and a whole lot of bird seed.<\/p>\n

Kyle likes to dance and Lindsey is right there with him. It turns out they have friends who like to dance too. No one stayed still for very long. There might have been one slow dance song, but I\u2019m pretty sure it was abbreviated by Taylor Swift shaking it off \u00a0and Soulja Boy crankin it.<\/p>\n

Once getting the dance floor warmed up the bride and groom did slip away for a quiet moment of adventure before returning to the celebration inside.<\/p>\n

This wedding day is certainly going to be the start of many more adventures to come. Congratulations Lindsey and Kyle!<\/p>\n
